Camfed unites with Girlguiding UK to change the world

Camfed is delighted to have been chosen as charity partner in an exciting project with Girlguiding UK to help girls and young women across the UK to change the world.

Camfed is one of 18 top charities that will be working with Girlguiding UK’s 580,000 members to raise awareness about a range of local, national and global issues in a project called Changing the World.

Camfed’s development education team will be challenging Girlguiding UK members to use the power of their voices on behalf of girls in Africa who don’t get the chance to go to school.

“What we’re saying is, if you’ve got a voice – use it!” says Tessa McLeish, Camfed’s International Development Education Advisor. “We are asking Girlguiding UK members to shout out on behalf of girls in Africa who can’t make themselves heard. With the support of Girlguiding UK members, we will be able to help hundreds more girls to attend school and achieve their dreams.”
