We are delighted to announce that the Financial Times has selected Camfed for the second year running for its seasonal charity appeal to readers.
From ft.com:
“The Financial Times is pleased to announce it has selected the Campaign for Female Education (CAMFED) for the second year running for its seasonal charity appeal to readers, which will run between November and January. CAMFED aims to solve long-term economic, health and social problems in Africa by investing in girls’ education and economic opportunities for young women. This can have a powerful effect on the economic and social fabric of the women’s communities, helping to alleviate poverty more broadly.
Last year FT readers raised more than $1.2 million for CAMFED and directly supported more than 2,000 girls through secondary education, potentially transforming their prospects and that of their families. We aim to add greatly to those numbers this year.”
