Fundraise for Camfed
Host a party or fundraiser
There are dozens of creative ways to raise money and awareness. Organise an auction, a bike-a-thon, a garage sale, a tennis match. If you know a talented artist or musician, or you happen to be one yourself, you could coordinate a concert or an art exhibition.
Join a sponsored event
There are thousands of races, walks, swims, cycle rides, hikes going on all over the world. Keep fit and raise money for Camfed. We can provide you with promotional resources and help you set up your own fundraising webpage. Challenge your friends to sponsor you as you challenge yourself, as Eric Shambion and Amaya Williams did when they decided to bike across Africa for Camfed.
Spread the word
Invite ten of your closest friends to invite ten of their closest friends for a party at your house: it could be a dinner gathering, or a girls-night-in, where you invite a yoga instructor or a manicurist, serve hors d’oeuvres and tell everyone about Camfed’s commitment to transform girls’ lives through education. We can help by providing you with goods to sell, films to watch and promotional materials to give out at the event.
Teach for Africa
Do you have a skill that other people covet? Host a fundraising workshop where you teach people to make seared tuna and crème brulee or to knit scarves.
Day of giving
If you are a business owner, coordinate a Day of Giving event, and let your patrons know that a portion of the money they spend on that dress or iPod will go to Camfed.
Share the wealth
Selling something on eBay? Consider participating in their Giving Works program, which allows consumers to support nonprofit organisations when they shop and sell. You can donate between 10% and 100% of the sale price of your item to help transform the lives of girls in Africa.
