Bartholomew Tembo, Camfed Zambia Board Member
In his position as District Education Officer, Bartholomew Tembo has been deploying female teachers to Camfed partner schools in the district of Samfya. He has been instrumental in sensitising the community on girls’ education using the Chiefs’ forums in the district. He has been advocating for girls education using the platforms available for him in the districts and in the province.
As well as serving on Camfed’s Zambia’s board, Bartholomew is currently the chairperson of the Community Development Committee, which oversees and monitors Camfed’s education programme on the ground.
