Annie Sampa PhD, Camfed Zambia Board Member
Annie Sampa is currently a Child Rights Officer at UNICEF, where she deals with issues of gender-based violence, youth rights and rights of children. Recently she supervised and spearheaded the UN Secretary General's study on violence against children. She also spearheaded the review of the youth policy in Zambia. One of the current activities is assessing venues for the establishment of One Stop Centres, which will provide direct services to defiled and sexually abused children and young girls.
Before joining UNICEF, Annie worked as the first Country Programme Manager for the International Labour Organisation/International Programme on the Elimination of Child Labour Programme, which was initiated in 2000. From 1990 to 2001, Annie was a lecturer at the University of Zambia in the Psychology Department.
