- The Campaign for Female Education (Camfed)

-
Camfed is dedicated to fighting poverty and HIV/AIDS in rural Africa by educating girls and investing in their economic independence and leadership once they complete school. Since 1993, Camfed has been working in partnership with rural communities in Africa to set in motion a virtuous cycle of change.
- The Greatest Hope for Ending Poverty

-
'As a child, Gift Namuchimba was taunted by a neighbour whose daughters had bought her chickens, even as Gift starved.' Now 24, Gift is the first woman in her district to build herself a house. On her first night, she invited her neighbour to see it. "She was amazed, as she knew my poverty as a child. I said to her, 'Look at what Camfed and education has done for my family.'" Read Caroline Daniel's Financial Times article examining why the world's leading economists promote girls' education as the most effective investment in Africa today.
- Where the Water Meets the Sky

-
Camfed is committed to providing girls and women with the tools to tell their own stories, in their own voices. In our first documentary film, Oscar-winning actor Morgan Freeman narrates the story of a remarkable group of women in Northern Zambia as they learn the art of filmmaking and find the courage to change their lives.
- Investing in Education: the Multiplier Effect

-
Camfed’s work provides direct evidence for the growing consensus among global leaders that girls’ education is the single best investment that can be made in developing countries. 645,400 children across four countries benefited from Camfed’s education programs. And the young women who have been supported through school by Camfed go on to reinvest the benefits of their education in their communities.
